Alex joined NativState at its founding and is passionate about developing market-driven solutions that encourage conservation and help close the carbon cycle. As a geologist and manager over the last twenty years in oil, gas, and natural resource development, Alex brings technical research, economic modeling, project management, and strategic planning experience to the team.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Alex graduated from Franklin and Marshall College with a B.A. in geosciences. Alex received an M.S. in geosciences from the University of Vermont, where thesis fieldwork on tectonic plate boundaries took him to Fiordland, New Zealand. After moving to Colorado, Alex earned an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
When he’s out of the office, Alex enjoys exploring the lakes and rivers in Colorado and northern Michigan with his friends and family.
