A Word From Our Founder
2024 was a great year for NativState, starting in April with the release and sale of our first verified forest carbon credits. This project represents approximately 18,000 acres of sustainably managed forestland across southern Arkansas and generates additional income for family forest landowners through the creation of an estimated 1,500,000 carbon credits over the next twenty years. And, early in 2025 we released our second verified project, marking our first release in Louisiana and Mississippi.
We hosted groups from the U.S. and abroad, allowing them to see firsthand how NativState’s unique model works, while observing the biodiversity supported by our projects. They heard directly from our landowner partners about the pressure they face to rely on aggressive timber harvesting and how working with NativState has provided an alternative that enables them to conserve their land for future generations.
All of us at NativState are honored to work alongside our landowner and corporate partners to generate meaningful environmental and financial benefits at scale. Offering high-quality credits sourced from forestland at greater risk of aggressive timber harvests than any other region of the country is something to be proud of. Together, we are building healthier forests, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future.
