Cambium Natural Assets

A Natural Asset Platform Built on Direct Ownership

Cambium Natural Assets is purpose built to hold and actively manage land and the other natural assets that come with it. Our strategy focuses on smaller forested parcels that will be aggregated into forest carbon projects.

Natural assets are the Earth’s vital ecosystems, forests, carbon sinks, and watersheds that provide critical environmental services and generate durable value.

We take a hands-on approach to stewardship over the long term, working to improve land conditions and asset performance. Our first strategy is underway in Northern California, focusing on carbon development, with the same approach designed to extend to new regions and other natural assets as the platform grows.

NativState and Cambium have secured a market-based offtake agreement with a corporate compliance buyer.

Business Strategy

Acquire high-quality but undervalued and under-managed forestland, then improve its quality and value through active, sustainable forest management, grounded in sound timber practices and led by the market opportunity in forest carbon development.

Our first strategy is underway in Northern California, where we’re working within the state’s carbon compliance market. Each property is positioned to produce a layered set of natural-asset outputs, including forest carbon, sustainable timber, and other nature-based revenue streams. This approach is designed to be repeatable and resilient across regions and carbon markets.

Revenue Streams

Carbon
Development

Compliance credits are managed and generated by NativState, our vertically integrated carbon development partner with deep experience in voluntary and compliance carbon markets.

Timber Harvesting and Agricultural Rights

Sustainable timber harvesting, grazing leases, and other nature-based revenues layered with carbon development to diversify the revenue base of each property.

Land

Appreciation

Direct title ownership keeps the underlying land value with the platform over a long hold, creating a tangible, real-asset foundation beneath the carbon and timber activity above it.

How It Works

  1. Land Acquisition

Cambium identifies and acquires high-potential parcels – focusing on undervalued, undermanaged forest lands with high carbon-stocking potential based on NativState’s track record of success in carbon markets.

  2. Direct Asset Ownership

Cambium maintains direct ownership and active management of the forest properties. As properties are improved, some may be sold selectively over time.

  3. Carbon & Revenue Development

NativState manages the full carbon project lifecycle, from initial carbon assessment through project registration, carbon credit verification, and carbon credit sales to long-term offtake partners.

  4. Asset Management

Transparent reporting on land value and credit generation. Active management improves the land’s condition and value over time, supported by ongoing, real-time monitoring and reporting on carbon credit generation, land health, and overall asset performance.

Our Land Ownership Philosophy

We believe natural assets work best when treated as real assets held directly, managed actively, and stewarded transparently. That belief shapes every property we acquire and every partnership we build, from landowners to carbon buyers to long-term stewards of the land. We aim to work the same way with everyone we partner with, whether a landowner, a carbon buyer, or a fellow steward; with shared values, mutual trust, and a long-term view.
